Looking for an editor? I offer proofreading ($0.012/word), copy editing ($0.014/word), and developmental editing ($0.021/word) (preferably in the fiction/speculative fiction genre). I also offer a free 10-page trial for novels or first 500 words for short form to give you a feel for how I edit. Because I only do this part-time, I only take a few projects at a time so it's first come first serve. Also, I do not do erotica.

Developmental Editing

These are the big picture edits, focusing on elements such as plot holes, character arcs, pacing, etc. This is typically done as the first round of edits.

Copy Editing

Typically done alongside line editing, this follows development editing. These edits focus on grammar, style consistency, and syntax.

Proofreading

This is the last round of edits to find any missed typos and spelling errors. Facts are double-checked as well as the formatting of the book if it's been designed.
